Job summary

Workfast is seeking a reliable forklift operator in Nowra to join a leading construction materials facility. This role involves safe operation of counterbalance forklifts in a fast-paced yard and manufacturing environment, loading and unloading pallets and bulk materials, and maintaining site safety protocols.

Expect Monday–Friday shifts with potential overtime, ongoing placement, and a safety-first team culture. Applicants must hold an LF licence and have unrestricted Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• Valid SafeWork NSW High Risk Work Licence (LF).
• Demonstrated experience operating forklifts within heavy industrial, construction, manufacturing, or transport yards.
• Experience handling heavy, uneven, or bulk palletised loads safely.
• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of high-capacity counterbalance forklifts across indoor and outdoor yard environments.
• Loading and unloading flatbeds, semi-trailers, and delivery vehicles with pallets, bulk bags, and heavy construction materials.
• Stacking, staging, and retrieving finished goods and raw materials for production lines.
• Completing daily pre-start inspections, routine machinery checks, and reporting maintenance needs.
• Performing yard organisation, stock counts, and general housekeeping duties.
• Following all site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and load-restraint guidelines.

• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to travel to site in Nowra

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and fitness-to-work assessment
• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights
