Job summary

Workfast is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Yard Hand for a busy metal recycling site in Kooragang. You will operate LF forklifts, load/unload trucks, and assist with yard tasks while following safety guidelines.

The role offers day shifts, Monday to Friday, with strong pipeline of work and a supportive team. Ideal candidates hold a valid LF license, can handle heavy loads, and are willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid LF (Forklift) License required.
• Experience handling long, heavy, or awkward loads is a plus.
• Physically fit and willing to assist with manual labor when off the forklift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable transport to Kooragang and full Australian working rights.
• Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test.

Workfast is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Operator / Yard Hand to join our team at a busy Metal Recycling facility in Kooragang.

Great Pay Rate: $37.00/hour + penalties + super

Consistent Hours: Day shift, Monday to Friday - 7am to 4pm

Key Responsibilities:

Operating an LF forklift safely to move, load, and unload metal products

Loading and unloading delivery trucks efficiently

Assisting with manual handling and general yard duties as required

Adhering to all site safety and WHS guidelines

What We Are Looking For:

Valid LF (Forklift) License with proven experience (timber or building materials experience is a massive plus!)

Experience handling long, heavy, or awkward loads

Physical fitness and willingness to assist with manual labor when off the forklift

High attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace safety

Reliable transport to get to Kooragang

Full working rights in Australia

Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
