Job summary

Metcash is seeking a Permanent Assembly Store Worker for our Distribution Centre in Cairns, with both 4-day and 5-day shift options to provide flexibility and long-term stability.

You will accurately pick and pack orders, operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems, and safely use reach forklifts to replenish stock and store products. You’ll receive inbound deliveries and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution centre, or logistics environment preferred.
• Experience in picking, packing, receiving, and dispatch operations.
• Current Reach Forklift Licence and demonstrated reach truck experience highly regarded.
• High Risk Work Licence advantageous.
• Ability to safely load and unload trucks and containers.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack orders in line with customer requirements and productivity targets.
