Job summary

Reliable Food Distributors is seeking a Warehouse Worker for our Prestons, NSW facility to support warehousing and distribution operations. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking and packing orders, and for loading products onto delivery vehicles.

You will operate forklifts and other equipment, maintain inventory records, and uphold health, safety, and food handling standards in a busy environment. This role offers full-time hours and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
• Current forklift licence and safe operation of equipment.
• Physical ability to lift and move products regularly.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, unloading and inspecting incoming food products for quality and accuracy
• Organising and storing products in designated warehouse locations according to inventory management systems
• Picking and packing orders for dispatch to customers
• Operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements and stock levels
• Ensuring the warehouse remains clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards
• Loading products onto delivery vehicles in the correct order for efficient distribution
• Assisting with stock counts and cycle audits
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and deadlines
• Adhering to all food safety and workplace safety regulations and procedures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts (current forklift licence required)
• Physical capability to lift, carry and move products regularly throughout your shift
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing orders
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems
• Excellent time management and ability to work to strict deadlines
• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workplace
• Reliability and punctuality
• Food handling knowledge or willingness to obtain food safety certification
