Job summary

Bunnings is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to oversee daily operations, sales and stock management for a high-volume warehouse. You will lead a team of 50+ with support from Department Managers, ensuring safety, efficiency and aggressive customer service targets.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you’ll develop strategies to grow the warehouse, monitor performance, and coordinate with distribution centres and support offices while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of 50+ members and leaders to deliver a safe, engaged operation.
• Previous experience in retail or high-volume customer-focused organisations.
• Active involvement in safety walks, audits and coaching to sustain a safe workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 50+ direct reports, manage store opening/closing across weekdays and weekends.
• Oversee safety walks, audits and coaching to ensure safe behaviours in the warehouse.
• Monitor sales, margin and wage targets; implement improvement plans as needed.
• Support Department Managers and develop teams to lift capability and performance.
• Drive stock accuracy, oversee stock takes, and investigate discrepancies.
• Lead efforts to improve customer satisfaction and team engagement metrics.
