Job summary

Oscar Wylee Pty is seeking a Store Manager for our Elizabeth City Centre location to lead a team, oversee day-to-day operations, and drive exceptional customer care. You will work closely with the Store Partner and participate in a joint venture model that supports growth and hands-on learning.

You will manage rosters, budgets, and labour efficiency, while coaching staff to achieve performance goals and deliver a standout customer experience. Availability Tue–Sat is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in retail
• Experience supporting rosters, labour planning, or store performance
• Passion for delivering great customer experiences
• Interest in decision-making, coaching, and team culture
• No optical experience required – training provided
• Availability Tuesday to Saturday to meet peak trading needs

Role:

As Store Manager for Oscar Wylee in Elizabeth City Centre, your role will be to lead and inspire your team to deliver remarkable results and oversee day-to-day store operations.

You will work closely with our experienced Store Partner, gaining valuable commercial and operational experience. Our Elizabeth store is involved in our joint venture partnership, where we have had the opportunity to work alongside exceptional business leaders who have joined Oscar Wylee as part owners of our stores.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee store operations, compliance, and performance standards
• Support your team to reach performance goals through genuine customer care, not pushy sales tactics.
• Manage rosters, budgets, and labour efficiency
• Provide hands-on support in-store, assisting with sales, service, and patient care
• Partner with Optometrists to ensure every customer receives an exceptional experience

About You:

• Previous leadership experience in retail (title isn't important - if you've coached people and driven results, we want to hear from you!)
• Experience supporting or contributing to rosters, labour planning, or store performance - we'll help you grow your capability in these areas.
• A passion for delivering great customer experiences
• A keen interest in developing your skills in decision-making, coaching, and team culture
• No optical experience required - we'll teach you all there is to know about optical retail. Some of our best store leaders joined from outside the industry!
• To meet peak trading needs, Tuesday to Saturday availability is preferred.

Earnings:

Up to 70k salary
