Job summary

Wattyl, part of Hempel, is seeking a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager for Browns Plains to join on a Permanent Full Time basis. You will lead daily store operations and deliver outstanding in-store service. The role requires managing safety, achieving sales targets, stock takes, merchandising, and effective team leadership.

Lifting up to 32kg is required; strong communication with customers in construction is essential. Local work rights are required in Australia.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience in a store environment (hospitality, retail or similar).
• Proven ability to manage retail store operations and drive sales.
• Good knowledge of safety management and improvement.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Effective people management and customer engagement skills.
• This is a physical role with lifting up to 32 kg.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Browns Plains store operates safely and effectively at all times.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales, profit targets, and market share.
• Assist customers in-store and over the phone with promotions and needs.
• Conduct regular stock takes, replenishment, and merchandising to standards.
