Job summary

Geelong Motors in Geelong, VIC is seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join our sales operations team. You will manage stock from arrival to delivery, oversee registrations and transfers with VicRoads, and maintain precise records for seamless customer delivery.

You will liaise with multiple departments and manufacturers to ensure accurate stock information and timely reporting, while upholding high accuracy and efficiency in all stock and documentation processes.

Qualifications

• Stock control experience in an automotive dealership.
• Experience using a Dealer Management System.
• Familiarity with VicRoads registration/transfer processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation.
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer, numerical and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow established processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage new and used vehicle stock from arrival through to delivery
• Process vehicle registrations and transfers through VicRoads in line with compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate registration records and manage number plate inventory
• Process vehicle sales paperwork and documentation
• Complete accurate data entry and maintain vehicle records
• Maintain accurate stock information within the dealership's DMS
• Liaise with internal departments, vehicle manufacturers and other dealerships to ensure the smooth movement and processing of vehicles
• Monitor stock levels and vehicle availability
• Provide timely and accurate reporting
• Ensure all processes and documentation are completed accurately and efficiently

Job description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our growing team.

About the Role

This is a sales operations role, which is the engine room of our business. Working closely with the Sales and Administration teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth processing and management of vehicle stock, registrations, and documentation from vehicle arrival through to customer delivery. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating registrations and transfers, processing sales documentation and ensuring our vehicle stock information remains accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities
