Job summary

Westpoint Autos, based in Brisbane, is seeking a procurement and stock coordination professional to support the Management and Sales teams across multiple brands within the Westpoint Autos Group.

In this permanent full-time role you will track sales data, monitor stock levels, liaise with suppliers and manufacturers, negotiate terms, and plan stock strategies to maximise profitability in a dynamic Australian automotive market.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail buying, stock control, inventory coordination or supply chain within a retail dealership environment.
• Well-developed organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in high-volume settings.
• Ability to manage multiple brands and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Westpoint Autos Key Responsibilities include: tracking and monitoring sales data and stock levels researching suppliers and market information to keep informed and up to date regarding changing market conditions and purchasing options and deals Negotiating cost price, product purchases, quantities, deliveries, promotion, trading terms and other supply arrangements with suppliers. Liaising with higher level management on long-term product planning and stock levels for promotions and sales across multiple brands and locations across the Westpoint Autos Group. initiating stock financial plans according to yearly and budgetary requirements in the changing and dynamic Australian automotive industry.

Researching and anticipating customer needs to aid the sales managers and dealer principals in planning, analysing and purchasing new vehicles from Manufacturers/Distributors monthly which is also in line with the company forecasts, sales trends and dealership targets. Determining product types, quantities, timing and locations across the dealership and network. Determining the deletion and clearance strategies of old aged stock to reduce excess inventory overheads and maximise Westpoint’s overall profitability margin.
