Job summary

The Fullerton Hotel Sydney is seeking a Steward to join our dynamic kitchen team in Sydney. You will help maintain cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen, supporting staff and guests by ensuring a safe, hygienic work environment.

This is a full-time role requiring flexibility to work rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays. A positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stewarding is preferred.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Willingness to work rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Positive attitude, reliability and punctuality.
• Team player with attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasks.
• Basic understanding of food safety principles (or willingness to learn).

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machinery or by hand.
• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, sinks, and floors.
• Dispose of waste properly and empty bins regularly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
• Assist kitchen staff by organizing plates and utensils.
• Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with WHS procedures.
• Restock cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials as needed.

About the Roles

As aSteward, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and guests.

Please note we are recruiting Full time role for Steward.
