Village Roadshow Theme Parks on the Gold Coast is hiring a Kitchen Stewarding Captain to lead our back-of-house cleanliness and hygiene standards, supporting Food & Beverage operations to deliver memorable guest experiences.

You'll supervise the stewarding team, uphold food safety, coordinate cleaning duties, and train staff. The role requires flexibility across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, with competitive hourly rates.

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Stewarding Captain to help lead our hardworking team and ensure our back‑of‑house spaces shine as brightly as our guest experiences! A Day in the Life:

A Stewarding Captain plays a hands‑on leadership role, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of all back‑of‑house cleaning and sanitation functions.

• Lead, support, and motivate the stewarding team to complete daily tasks to a high standard, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all shifts
• Coordinate and actively participate in cleaning duties to maintain spotless kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils, ensuring a safe working environment
• Apply, monitor, and enforce food safety and hygiene procedures, maintaining full compliance with health and safety standards
• Collaborate closely with the broader Food & Beverage team to support service operations and respond to changing operational demands
• Assist with onboarding, training, and upskilling team members, fostering a positive, capable, and high‑performing team culture

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience and knowledge of stewarding or kitchen operations
• Strong understanding of hygiene standards and food safety requirements
• Confidence in leading, training and mentoring others
• Ability to identify and manage safety hazards
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays (with weekday RDOs)
