Job summary

Toll Group Australia seeks an experienced Operations Supervisor – Steel Transport to lead daily transport operations in Chullora, NSW. You will coordinate drivers, subcontractors, and fleet resources to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable service for customers.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will monitor DIFOT, plan fleets, manage workloads and drive a proactive safety culture. Strong communication and knowledge of transport systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport and logistics operations.
• Sound knowledge of transport management systems and Chain of Responsibility compliance.
• Ability to manage drivers, subcontractors and daily operational demands.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and proactive safety focus.
• Ability to make sound operational decisions and lead by example in safety and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate fleet to meet daily customer requirements.
• Coordinate pickups, deliveries, backloads and timeslots.
• Monitor fleet utilisation and DIFOT performance.
• Build relationships with customers, drivers and subcontractors.
• Ensure CoR, fatigue, mass, speed and load restraint compliance.
• Lead safety activities and maintain transport records.
