Job summary

Plascorp, based in Pinkenba, Brisbane, is seeking machine operators for fixed AM (5am-1pm) and PM (1pm-9pm) shifts in its Pinkenba facility. This hands-on role sits in the steel division, operating overhead cranes and production machinery while contributing to daily output and maintaining high safety standards.

You’ll join an experienced team with safety-first culture and on-the-job training to grow your skills in steel manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence.
• Sound mechanical aptitude; ability to use handheld power tools.
• Knowledge of OH&S standards and safe work practices.
• Previous experience in steel, metal, or heavy manufacturing is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks; operate overhead crane safely.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch steel orders accurately.
• Operate production machinery including shear line, bar cutting, or coil machines.
• Conduct pre-start checks and adhere to OH&S procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets.

About the Role

We have full-time positions available at our Pinkenba facility for Machine Operators AM Shifts : 5am-1:00pm & PM Shifts 1pm-9pm). This is a hands-on, production-focused position within our Steel division. You'll operate overhead cranes and production machinery, contribute to daily output targets, and uphold our high safety and quality standards alongside an experienced team.
