Job summary

GForce Recruitment is assisting a Ballarat-based steel fabrication business to find a skilled metal fabricator. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, fabricating and assembling steel components, and performing MIG welding across a range of materials.

You'll work with engineering and production teams, undertake site installations as required, and focus on accuracy and quality in every project.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication and ability to read technical drawings.
• Welding in MIG across a range of materials.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with engineering/production teams.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Fabricate and assemble custom steel and metal products
• Complete MIG welding across a range of materials
• Manufacture structural steelwork, machinery and bespoke fabrication projects
• Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams
• Undertake repairs, modifications and site installation work as required
• Deliver quality work with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
