GForce Recruitment is assisting a Ballarat-based steel fabrication business to find a skilled metal fabricator. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, fabricating and assembling steel components, and performing MIG welding across a range of materials.

You'll work with engineering and production teams, undertake site installations as required, and focus on accuracy and quality in every project.

About the role:

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

What we’re looking for:

• 1+ years proven experience in metal fabrication is highly regarded
• Confidence working from plans and drawings with minimal supervision is highly desirable, but training can be provided for the right person
• Practical approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
