Job summary

CHC Helicopter Australia Pty Ltd seeks a technically strong Financial Accounting & Compliance Accountant to own statutory financial reporting, external audit, and regulatory reporting for the Australian business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will ensure integrity of statutory statements and oversee end-to-end external audits in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Experience preparing statutory financial statements in regulated environments (ASX or similar).
• Experience coordinating external audits and managing auditor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close process aligned to AASB/IFRS.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Manage end-to-end external audit process and auditor relations.
• Ensure compliance with BAS, GST, PAYG and other statutory obligations.
• Apply accounting for leases (AASB 16), fixed assets, and inventory.
