Job summary

Atlas Partners in Melbourne CBD is seeking a senior Financial Reporting Lead to manage statutory and shareholder reporting, external audits and governance for the group. This newly shaped role provides genuine scope to set the standard.

You will lead a team of three, work closely with the CFO and Audit Committee, and provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions while reporting insights to the board.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise.
• Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements in a listed, regulated or complex group environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing external audit processes end to end.
• Proven experience leading and developing a team.
• Infrastructure, utilities or regulated industry background highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries, for both financial and regulatory years.
• Coordinate the group statutory audit, including consolidated accounts and shareholder reporting packs.
• Oversee monthly, half-yearly and annual reporting to shareholders.
• Provide technical accounting advice on acquisitions, disposals and new business opportunities.
• Prepare Board and Audit Committee papers on significant accounting matters.
• Lead the monthly balance sheet review process across the group.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of three.

About your new role

This role will lead statutory reporting, shareholder reporting, external audit coordination and technical accounting governance for the group.
