Job summary

AGL Energy is seeking a Finance Manager, Group Reporting and Advisory to lead the statutory financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This is an 18-month, full-time opportunity based in Sydney or Melbourne.

You will manage stakeholders across business units, mentor the reporting team, coordinate with external auditors, and prepare board-level reports with key judgements and insights.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with CA/CPA designation and strong regulatory knowledge.
• Expertise in group reporting, consolidation, and accounting policy governance.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors and presenting to boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory reporting process and ensure compliance with standards.
• Partner with finance and non-finance teams to gather data for reporting.
• Mentor the reporting team and set objectives for high-quality outputs.
• Contribute to professional growth of the finance team and processes.
• Manage stakeholders across levels and business lines.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the audit.
• Prepare board-level reports with key judgements and insights.
• Oversee reporting-related projects and ensure timely delivery.
