Job summary

ActewAGL is seeking an experienced finance leader to head Group Reporting and Taxation. You will oversee technical accounting, statutory reporting and taxation compliance for the ActewAGL Joint Venture and subsidiaries, acting as a trusted advisor on complex matters and guiding governance practices.

Qualifications

• Qualified with tertiary accounting degree and CA/CPA membership.
• Significant experience in financial reporting and taxation in a large, complex commercial setting.
• Strong technical accounting skills and experience with statutory reporting and audits.
• Proven ability to develop governance frameworks and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and delivery of annual statutory financial statements and year-end reporting.
• Manage the external audit process and maintain auditor relationships.
• Provide expert advice on complex accounting transactions and projects.
• Oversee adoption of new accounting standards and sustainability reporting obligations.
• Lead group taxation including compliance, reporting and advisory services.
• Drive system and process improvements across governance and reporting activities.
• Manage month-end, consolidations and group performance reporting to owners.
• Coach and develop a high-performing team aligned to ActewAGL values.
