Job summary

First Parking seeks a State Operations Manager to own the NSW portfolio from our Darling Quarter office in Sydney. You’ll ensure each site is safe, well presented and fully operational while leading on-site teams.

You’ll conduct safety checks, organise maintenance, manage rostering (including evenings and weekends) and deliver weekly performance reports to the Commercial Operations Manager NSW/ACT.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an operational or facilities management role, ideally within property or retail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make autonomous calls in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to manage relationships across NCC, equipment providers and site teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail and time management, especially during peak trading periods.
• Hands-on, self-motivated approach with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every site is presented to a high standard, safe and fully operational.
• Conduct workplace safety checks, equipment maintenance and low-level site repairs.
• Deliver on-site customer service that protects the First Parking name.
• Provide weekly reporting on portfolio and asset performance to the Commercial Operations Manager NSW/ACT.
• Manage workforce planning and rostering, including evening and weekend trading coverage.
• Continually review processes and policies to raise the bar across the portfolio.

The Role

As State Operations Manager, you'll take end-to-end ownership of First Parking's growing NSW portfolio. Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager NSW/ACT and based at our Darling Quarter office, you'll be the on-the-ground expert who keeps every site performing, driving presentation, safety and customer experience standards as we scale into Sydney's next growth phase.

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years' experience in an operational or facilities management role, ideally within property, retail or a similarly hands-on environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make calls autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to manage relationships across NCC, equipment providers and site teams.
