Job summary

Shadforth Financial Group in Sydney is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the Sydney Operations Team, guiding Senior Associate Advisers, Associate Advisors and Client Associates in delivering high-quality client support and compliant advice services.

You will drive standardized processes, partner with National Heads to meet annual targets, mentor talent, and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and client outcomes across the state.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in financial planning or advice operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning.
  • Proven experience driving change adoption and embedding new systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the team to provide expert support and technical assistance across the preparation of advice, implementation of advice and ongoing assistance with managing clients.
  • Deliver compliant and standardised operational processes across the State, aligning with national frameworks and service standards.
  • Partner with the National Head of Operational Transformation and Head of Shadforth to deliver the State's budgets, pledges and targets.
  • Track and report State adoption metrics, operational performance and benefits realisation, contributing to national measures.
  • Recruit, train and mentor talent, managing the training and development program to build a high-performing team.
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes.
  • Lead and proactively get involved in projects.

The opportunity to join our team

Great opportunity to lead the client support and operational teams in Sydney. You will lead a large team of Senior Associate Advisers (SAA) Associate Advisors (AAs) and Client Associates (CAs) who provide high-quality support and technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the team to provide expert support and technical assistance across the preparation of advice, implementation of advice and ongoing assistance with managing clients
  • Deliver consistent, compliant and standardised operational processes across the State, adopting and enforcing the national frameworks and service standards set by the National Head of Operational Transformation.
  • Partner with the National Head of Operational Transformation and Head of Shadforth to deliver the State's annual budgets, pledges and targets
  • Track and report State adoption metrics, operational performance and benefits realisation, contributing to the national measures owned by the National Head of Operational Transformation.
  • Recruit, train and mentor talent, managing the training and development program to build a high-performing team.
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes
  • Lead and proactively get involved in projects
  • Manage the training and development program of team

What you will bring:

  • Solid leadership experience in financial planning or advice operations, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge in financial planning
  • Proven experience driving change adoption and embedding new systems, processes and operating models into business-as-usual.
  • Ability to drive a high performing culture
  • Knowledge of compliance and risk management governing financial planning
  • Degree in finance, business or management
