A unique and rare State Management level opportunity suited to a hands-on strategic and operational leader with operations management experience from food or manufacturing, with deep strategic operational knowledge and expertise across distribution, logistics or service-intensive based business environments.

The Opportunity

The Queensland State Manager will lead the Queensland facilities and operations and accountable for facility performance, logistics and delivery execution. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, passionate and experienced Commercial Manager that enjoys working in a hands-on manner, with a proven ability to positively shape team culture, customer service excellence and drive profitable growth within a commercial facility operations.

Industry Knowledge & ExperienceSought

The successful candidate will combine commercial judgement, operational discipline from a customer centric sales FMCG environment. We are seeking a State Manager that moves confidently between facility floor, customer conversations and performance reviews, encompassing clarity, accountability and energy to our client's facilities and operations across Queensland. This State manager Queensland role will see you partnering closely with the Head Office customer service function in Sydney and other National Leaders. To be successful in this role you bring a nuanced ability to align local execution with company standards, commercial priorities and customer commitments.

About You

You are ideally based in Brisbane and bring experience from State, Regional or Commercial Management with strong operational and sales experience at a strategic level, along with demonstrated success leading large frontline operations or operational teams. A fantastic State Management level opportunity for a highly capable Manager that enjoys building strong performance cultures, delivering growth and understands the link between customer service excellence and strong budget performance!

To be considered your application should demonstrate ALL the following experience, skills and attributes:

• Strong commercial and business acumen, proven ownership of budgets and demonstrated results driving performance across operations;
• Strong sales orientation and ability to grow product presence, customer penetration and volume, especially within new market segments;
• Ability to lead a sizeable frontline workforce from food, manufacturing, distribution, logistics or service-intensive environments, you lead by setting clear expectations, through visible, proactive leadership style involving coaching and decisive action;
• Deep customer focus with a practical understanding of how food brands operate - advantageous; and
• Highly capable Regional or State level Manager overseeing competing commercial, people and operational priorities and building high-performance teams.
• Management level experience from State, Regional or General Management level particularly from a facilities or manufacturing operation environment, along with a solid understanding of sales, account growth and market development skills - essential
• Food industry or FMCQ experience overseeing logistics, distribution, delivery or facility operations leading teams of 100+ staff ideal
• Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, operations, supply chain or a related discipline highly desired
• Valid Drivers licence &Full & Unrestricted Australian Work rights to work in a permanent, fulltime and ongoing position. No employer sponsorship considered.
