Job summary

Moët Hennessy Australia is seeking a State Manager in NSW to deliver business and brand strategies with an inclusive leadership approach. Lead, motivate and empower the team to meet growth plans, elevate brands and uphold MH values of Integrity, Elegance and Spirit of Conquest.

You will drive commercial objectives, team development, and wholesale partnerships within NSW, balancing on-premise and off-premise channels while ensuring compliant, high-standard execution across all activities.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years sales management experience with an international fast-moving consumer goods or liquor company.
  • A deep interest in and knowledge of the luxury sector.
  • Thorough understanding of FMCG/drinks industry or similar related industry.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Commercial Objectives: achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets within territory and channel budgets.
  • Develop high performance teams and ensure key tasks (Salesforce planning, HR trainings) are completed to a high standard.
  • Drive contract accountability through Anaplan (KAP) and report customer performance via Contract Performance reports and Customer Business Reviews.
  • Develop team camaraderie and spend weekly time in the trade to improve sales call techniques.
  • Luxury Leadership: expand distribution of MHA brands in Core, Prestige & Emerging pillars.
  • Deliver On Premise strategy with JBP for key State Accounts; use activation trackers and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers on a hybrid NSW model; ensure right stock at right place.
  • Collaborate with marketing for compliance and celebrate wins via regular communications.
  • Drive business through Salesforce management, distribution/ranging and Account Segmentation.
  • Wholesaler Engagement: strengthen relations with key wholesale partners and ensure brand accessibility.
  • Ensure brand standards across channels and social/eRetail platforms; maximize facings.
  • Activate in-market presence at events and with customers.
  • Compliance: ensure adherence to policies, GOA, and MHANZ processes; manage volume, pricing, and terms.
  • Organise trade events and market visits; participate in sales meetings to review trends.

As the State Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the business and commercial strategies within the respective State. With inclusive leadership, you will lead, motivate and empower the team to deliver the strategic growth plans, financial and brand strategies through elevation of the brands, a strong sense of pride and with a bold approach underpinned by the MH Values – Integrity, Elegance, Epicureanism, Spirit of Conquest and Sharing.

Job responsabilities

How you will contribute…

Deliver Commercial Objectives

  • Deliver vol/rev monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets within the territory and channel budgets
  • Develop high performance teams - Develop your team to the expected level of an Account Manager – including completion to a high standard of all key tasks, e.g. Salesforce planning and input, HR trainings and ad hoc information as requested
  • To drive contract accountability through Anaplan (KAP) within the stipulated company trading term guidelines. Subsequent tracking and reporting of customer performance through Contract Performance reports and customer Business Reviews – structure and cadence to be aligned with direct reports
  • Develop team camaraderie and a close working relationship with your team, spending (weekly) regular time in the trade assisting the Account Managers with sales call techniques and developing their effectiveness in sales calls

Luxury Leadership

  • Achieve distribution of MHA brands focusing placement in the right accounts across the key pillars of the portfolio – Core, Prestige & Emerging
  • Deliver On Premise strategy with execution of JBP with key State Key Accounts
  • Completion on On-Premise surveys, activation trackers and opportunity modules in line with guidelines
  • Work closely with the Account Managers on the ‘hybrid’ model in NSW ensuring a ‘right stock, right place’ mentality to achieve business goals
  • Activate with excellence in trade working closely with customer and brand marketing for compliance
  • Celebrate wins and achievements through regular communications
  • Build strategy to ensure fast and effective approval of KAP
  • Implement a culture of driving the business forward through Callage, distribution/ranging, Portfolio Selling, Salesforce management and Account Segmentation

Wholesaler Engagement

  • Prioritise the move from a direct to indirect business through strong commercial developments with key wholesale partners in NSW.
  • Form strong working relationships within our key wholesaler partners (bi-monthly meeting with all key wholesaler partners)
  • Make MHANZ brands available & accessible
  • Ensure brand standards are always achieved across all channels and social/eRetail platforms
  • Achieve maximum facings and display of core brands in all outlets in line with distribution targets
  • Activate with excellence in market with customers and/or at events/festivals etc.

Compliance

  • Ensure that compliance and adherence to policies and procedures is a fundamental way of working within your team
  • Throughout the MHANZ business we will focus on the highest levels of compliance and integrity
  • Respecting the Grant of Authority (GOA)
  • Management and reporting of volume, pricing and FTT in line with customer commitments and adherence to MHANZ process
  • Contract management in line with MHA guidelines
  • Credit management and customer understanding of the terms they sign up to

Others

  • MHANZ business we will focus on and model the highest levels of compliance and integrity
  • Organise trade events across On-Premise, Specialists & Wholesale to animate the brands to our key trade
  • Accompany Senior Managers, Marketing colleagues, brand owners and principals on market visits as required
  • Participate and contribute in regular state sales meetings to review and update market trends, exchange information, share best practices, and contribute to the overall development of the company’s sales organisation
