Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CommBank) is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own full-stack delivery for Consumer Cards. You will shape the engineering roadmap, mentor teams, and deliver scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS with Next.js and TypeScript.

Qualifications

• Experience building front-end using Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience designing scalable cloud-native back-end services (C#, .NET).
• Proven track record with AWS and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Strong CI/CD, test automation and observability practices.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development and toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack delivery with end-to-end ownership from design to run.
• Shape long-term technical strategy and uplift engineering standards.
• Architect and implement scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Mentor engineers and contractors, driving performance and quality.
