Job summary

The Onset Group is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help rebuild the core technology platform for a leading Australian Fintech. You will own architecture decisions, modernise a complex platform and work with senior engineering leaders to shape the next generation of the backend stack.

You will design scalable services with Node.js, TypeScript and AWS, mentor engineers, and drive the technical direction across lending, credit and payments in a pivotal technology transformation.

Qualifications

• Senior backend engineer with hands-on experience.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript backend engineering.
• Deep AWS cloud-native architecture experience.
• Experience building distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Proven ability to lead technically at Staff/Principal level.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
