Job summary

NQ Estimating & Civil Services is seeking a casual Stabiliser Operator to join our Cairns, QLD-based team. The on-site role involves operating stabilising equipment on construction sites, with emphasis on safety and reliable performance.

Ideal candidates will hold a current licence/certification for stabiliser operation, have relevant site experience, and demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current and valid operating licence or certification for stabiliser equipment operation.
• Proven experience as a Stabiliser Operator or similar plant and machinery operator role within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety protocols and procedures relevant to equipment operation.
• Strong mechanical understanding and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for equipment maintenance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate stabilising equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer specifications and site safety protocols.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation checks on stabilising equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment operation, maintenance and any incidents.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members regarding equipment status and any operational issues.
• Assist with the setup and positioning of stabilising equipment as required.
• Comply with all relevant safety regulations, standards and site-specific requirements.
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prolong its lifespan.
• Report any equipment faults or safety concerns immediately to site management.

NQ Estimating & Civil Services is seeking a Stabiliser Operator to join our team on a casual basis. This is an on-site position based in Cairns, QLD. As a Stabiliser Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining stabilising equipment on construction sites, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. This role is integral to the success of our construction projects, contributing directly to project timelines and the quality of work delivered.

Key responsibilities
