Job summary

Stabilised Pavements of Australia is seeking an experienced Foreman/Supervisor to join our Townsville Depot. You will supervise plant, labour and subcontractors to deliver pavement construction projects in line with specifications, budgets and reporting requirements.

This role requires a hands-on leader with strong OH&S knowledge, solid planning and communication skills, and readiness to travel for site works as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a foreman in Civil Construction.
• Experience supervising plant, labour and subcontractors.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with quotation and tender activities.
• Project preparation and planning.
• Management of resources and materials in consultation with Operations Manager.
• Ensuring works are carried out to meet quality requirements.
• Daily and weekly reporting.
• Client and stakeholder communication.
• Willingness to travel and work away as required.
• Demonstrated OH&S and environmental knowledge and commitment to safety.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Foreman/Supervisor to work out of our Townsville Depot. Applicants will have experience in the supervision of plant, labour and subcontractors for pavement works with a proven track record in the delivery of part service and subcontract civil construction projects in accordance with specifications, financial and reporting requirements.

Duties:

• Assistance with quotation and tender activities
• Project preparation and planning
• Management of resources and materials in consultation with Operations Manager
• Ensuring works are carried out in an efficient manner that meets quality requirements
• Daily and weekly reporting
• Client and stakeholder communication
• Willingness to travel and work away as required
• A demonstrated knowledge and application of OH&S and environmental legislation is essential along with a genuine commitment to a safe and productive work environment.

Skills & Experience:

• Min. 5 years’ experience as a foreman in Civil Construction and previous experience as a an Operator is preferable
• Knowledge of plant and materials
• Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• Computer literacy with preferred proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project, along with standard written communication
