Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Relationship Manager to oversee a large fleet portfolio from the Burwood base. You will manage day-to-day fleet operations, support responsive service delivery, and build strong relationships with vehicle custodians across the organization.

You will work within a hybrid model (50% on-site) and lead fleet-related requests from transfers to disposals while ensuring accuracy and high service standards. Prior government or large organization experience is valued.

In this role, you'll:

Join a team that keeps Transport's fleet moving, managing the day-to-day operations of more than 2,700 light vehicles across the organisation, ensuring customers receive responsive, reliable fleet management support.

Working as part of a high-performing Shared Services team, you will manage a dedicated portfolio of customers, oversee vehicle replacement programs, coordinate vehicle disposals and handle a broad range of fleet-related requests, from fuel cards and toll tags through to vehicle transfers and issue resolution.

You will build strong relationships with vehicle custodians across the business, navigate complex enquiries and identify opportunities to improve service delivery in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

This role operates within our hybrid working model, requiring 50% workplace attendance. The home base for this role is Burwood, with flexibility to work from other office locations at times. The team collaboration day is on Tuesdays.

About you

Your customer service, administration and relationship management skills, developed through fleet management, automotive, dealership, vehicle administration or similar environments, will see you excel in managing a large fleet portfolio and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

You’ll bring strong attention to detail, systems proficiency and the ability to confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and service standards. You're recognised for your positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to build trusted relationships, with experience using business systems such as Excel, ServiceNow, SAP or similar platforms. Experience working in government or a large, complex organisation will be highly regarded.
