Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a strategic leader to coordinate end-to-end technology delivery across Enterprise Applications and major portfolios. You will prioritise initiatives, forecast capacity, and align portfolios for delivery across SAP, Rail, Platforms and Metro programs.

You will establish delivery standards, oversee vendor governance, and guide senior decision-making to shape the technology direction of a major infrastructure network with a focus on excellence and integrity.

In this role, you'll:

Provide strategic leadership across the end-to-end technology delivery pipeline for Enterprise Applications, ensuring initiatives are effectively prioritised, sequenced, integrated, and prepared for delivery. This role maintains forward visibility of delivery demand across portfolios and enables informed decision-making through capacity forecasting, dependency management, and portfolio-wide planning across the technology delivery lifecycle.

A major focus involves establishing standardized delivery methods and scalable patterns that enhance consistency and predictability across teams. You will also provide senior oversight for technology procurement and vendor governance, optimizing commercial partnerships to achieve the best outcomes. Through executive-level reporting and continuous improvement, you will drive the maturity of our delivery ecosystem.

About You

• Technology delivery governance, assurance, and planning activities across Group Technology portfolios, facilitating Technology Delivery Assurance Forums and driving effective oversight of delivery performance, risks, dependencies, and quality outcomes.
• You will establish and embed consistent delivery standards, governance frameworks, and planning disciplines that support successful project execution, operational excellence, and alignment with strategic business priorities.
• You will also lead vendor and partner governance, driving consistent performance, commercial, and cost management practices across a complex and evolving technology landscape spanning SAP, Rail, Platforms, and Metro portfolios. This includes overseeing multi-vendor commercial and billing governance, ensuring contract compliance, financial transparency, and effective management of delivery partners across both project and operational environments.
• You will provide leadership for the Technical Business Analysis practice, establishing technical analysis standards, governance, and best practices to ensure the production of high-quality business, technical, and system specification artefacts.
• You will foster capability development, workforce planning, and continuous improvement across the practice, enabling the delivery of consistent, value-driven analysis services that support effective technology planning and successful delivery outcomes.
