Job summary

DTEX Systems is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong software engineering background to modernize infrastructure and operations. You will design and implement automation to manage customer environments and scale the business beyond manual operations.

You will transition from legacy operations to IaC best practices, applying software engineering principles to solve complex problems and build resilient systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing production environments in AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong proficiency in Python with clean, maintainable code to solve infra problems.
• Experience with Terraform, including state management and modular design in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals; Bash scripting and CLI operations.
• Proficiency with Ansible and/or Saltstack for configuration management.
• Expert level understanding of Git and collaborative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain software in Python to automate provisioning, deployment, and config management of infrastructure.
• Contribute to Terraform adoption, establish state management, modularization, and version control best practices.
• Utilize Ansible and/or Saltstack to ensure consistency and repeatability across environments.
• Develop robust CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and application deployments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively improve reliability.
• Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation and drive blameless postmortems.
• Champion SRE principles, automation, and coding best practices.
