GOW Recruitment is partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Senior Manager into a high-impact operations leadership position in Sydney.

The role focuses on OTC derivatives, collateral and margining, settlements and post-trade processing within a regulated environment. You will lead onshore and offshore teams and collaborate with senior stakeholders across trading, risk and finance to drive efficiency and control improvements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience across Financial Markets Operations, Treasury, Derivatives, Collateral, Margining or Settlements.
• Strong understanding of the operational lifecycle of derivatives.
• Experience across VM, IM, CSA, margin calls and collateral management highly regarded.
• Exposure to repo, securities financing or derivatives settlements advantageous.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, governance and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Managing the end-to-end operational lifecycle of OTC cleared and uncleared derivatives.
• Overseeing collateral and margining, including Variation Margin (VM), Initial Margin (IM) and CSA activity.
• Managing derivatives settlements and post-trade processing.
• Oversight of repo collateral and securities financing activity.
• Portfolio, trade and cash reconciliations.
• Managing breaks, exceptions and operational issues through to resolution.
• Oversight of valuation and collateral disputes.
• Maintaining a strong operational risk and control environment.
• Leading and developing high-performing teams across onshore and offshore locations.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders across trading, risk, finance, legal and technology.
• Driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Identifying opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls and build scalable operating models.
