Job summary

Insight Global seeks an Applications Engineer to support EBOS solution deployments across utility-scale solar, energy storage, and mining projects in the Pacific region. You will collaborate with customers, EPCs, developers and internal teams to assess requirements and craft technical solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing specifications, creating BOMs and layouts, supporting quotations, delivering technical presentations, and providing ongoing application support throughout

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in solar or energy storage applications engineering.
• 2+ years with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of the energy market in Sydney, Australia.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and drawings.
• Create bills of materials and system layouts.

The Applications Engineer will support the deployment of our clients EBOS solutions across utility-scale solar PV, energy storage, and mining projects throughout the Pacific region. This role partners closely with customers, EPCs, developers, and internal sales and engineering teams to evaluate project requirements, develop technical solutions, and ensure compliance with AS/NZS standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing project specifications and drawings, creating bills of materials and system layouts, supporting quotation development, delivering technical presentations, and providing application support throughout the sales process.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of solar or energy storage applications engineering
• 2+ years of AutoCAD or similar design tools
• Knowledge of the energy market in Sydney, Australia
