Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Applications Engineer to support Shoals Technologies Group's EBOS deployments across utility-scale solar, energy storage, and mining projects in the Pacific region, including Sydney. You will review specs, prepare BOMs and layouts, support quotes, and deliver technical presentations to EPCs, developers, and O&M teams.

You will serve as a technical SME on solar and energy storage products, helping customers optimize designs, reduce installation costs, and identify

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years of solar or energy storage applications engineering
2+ years of AutoCAD or similar design tools
Knowledge of the energy market in Sydney, Australia
Familiarity with electrical distribution enclosures
EBOS experience
Experience working with EPCs, developers, and O&M teams
Understanding of solar module, inverter, and tracker integration

Responsibilities

Review project specifications and drawings.
Create bills of materials and system layouts.
Support quotation development.
Deliver technical presentations.
Provide application support throughout the sales process.
Serve as a technical SME on Shoals' solar and energy storage product portfolio, helping customers optimize designs and reduce installation costs.
Identify innovative solutions and contribute to new product development and process improvement.
