Job summary

Ku-ring-gai Council, located on Sydney's Upper North Shore, seeks a Sportsfields Booking Officer to coordinate bookings for our sportsfields and recreational facilities, supporting local sports clubs, schools and community groups to enjoy our open spaces.

The role focuses on booking administration, permits, payments and refunds, with a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork, in a temporary part-time capacity for up to 12 months.

Qualifications

• TAFE certificate or tertiary qualification in sport, recreation, administration, business studies, health or related area.
• Demonstrated experience in facility or booking administration.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Access to Fitness Passport; ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage bookings of sportsfields, parks and recreational venues.
• Liaise with clubs, schools and community organisations to ensure equitable access.
• Issue permits and process payments and refunds.
• Coordinate seasonal allocations and support policy implementation.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to enquiries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support maintenance and events.
