Job summary

Solutions+ on Sydney's northern side is offering an apprenticeship in high-end sports turf management for commercial grounds and sites. Start immediately with hands-on training and weekly pay.

You’ll learn mowing, line marking, turf renovations, irrigation, fertiliser and cricket wicket prep while completing TAFE training, progressing toward long-term career growth.

Applicants need a driver’s licence, own transport, and must obtain police checks; a supportive team environment awaits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-end sports turf across sporting fields, stadiums and multi-sport surfaces.
• Mow, edge, line mark and present fields to a high standard.
• Assist with turf renovations including aeration, topdressing, coring and repairs.

So, what duties can you expect to do in your apprenticeship?

• Maintain high-end sports turf across sporting fields, stadiums, cricket fields and multi-sport disciplined surfaces.
• Complete mowing, edging, line marking and general presentation of sports fields.
• Assist with turf renovations including aeration, topdressing, coring, scarifying and turf repairs.
• Assist with irrigation, hand watering and minor irrigation repairs.
• Apply fertiliser and assist with weed, pest and disease management.
• Operate ride-on mowers, utility vehicles and specialised turf equipment safely.
• Assist with cricket wicket preparation and maintenance.
• Prepare fields for games, training and sporting events.
• Learn and maintain turf across multiple sporting disciplines.
• Develop practical Sports Turf Management skills while completing TAFE training.
