Job summary

Solutions+ in NSW invites a motivated apprentice to join our team, focusing on the maintenance of commercial gardens and landscapes. You'll learn planting, pruning, mulching, weed control, and turf and irrigation maintenance while working with experienced horticulture and landscape professionals.

On the job training includes a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens, safety practices, and operating horticultural tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Driver's licence and own transport or ability to get to site.
• National Police Check required.
• Working with Children Check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial gardens and landscapes as part of the apprenticeship.
• Learn planting, pruning, mulching and weed control techniques.
• Assist with turf, irrigation, and drainage maintenance.
• Develop plant ID and plant care knowledge.
• Safely use horticultural tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Learn safe herbicide and pesticide application practices.
• Complete a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens while earning on the job.
