Job summary

Victory Lutheran College is seeking a Sport and Recreation Assistant (Secondary) to support sport, recreation, HPE, camps, excursions and student activities in the Secondary School. This part-time, term-time position covers 16.25 hours per week and may require attendance at camps and events, including some after-hours commitments.

You will work with the Sport Coordinator and HPE staff to prepare equipment, support students, assist with interhouse and interschool sport, and help organise

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, sport, recreation, camps, excursions or school programs is advantageous.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check is required or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
• First Aid and CPR qualifications (or willingness to obtain) are required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of sport, recreation, HPE, camps, excursions and student activities across the Secondary School.
• Provide practical, administrative and student support; prepare equipment and facilities for activities.
• Assist with interhouse and interschool sport and help organise camps, excursions and events.
• Maintain positive relationships with students and staff through proactive communication and organisation.
