Job summary

Victory Lutheran College is seeking a positive and organised Sport & Recreation Assistant (Secondary) to support sport, HPE, camps, excursions and student activities across the Secondary School.

The role is part-time (16.25 hours/week) with attendance at camps and events, including occasional out-of-hours commitments. Prior experience with young people and sports is advantageous, and First Aid/CPR qualifications are required or planned before start.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, sport, recreation, camps, excursions or school programs is advantageous.
• Current VIT registration or Victorian Working with Children Check is required.
• First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain) before commencement.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of sport, recreation, HPE, camps, excursions and student activities across the Secondary School.
• Prepare equipment and facilities and assist with sport and HPE activities.
• Assist with interhouse and interschool sport and help organise camps, excursions and events.
• Provide practical and administrative support to students and staff.
