Job summary
City of Ryde in NSW is seeking an experienced Team Leader, Sports Facilities to lead a small crew responsible for maintaining Ryde's sportsgrounds and recreation venues. This hands-on leadership role coordinates daily operations, schedules maintenance, and ensures high-quality outcomes across multiple facilities.
You will supervise staff, allocate resources, provide technical guidance, and contribute to safety, customer service, and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Greenkeeping, Parks & Gardens or Horticulture with relevant experience.
- Experience leading operational teams.
- Experience in sportsgrounds, parks or horticultural maintenance.
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
- MR Driver Licence or higher.
- White Card.
- Diploma in Horticulture or related discipline.
- Extensive team leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead sportsgrounds maintenance team.
- Plan maintenance programs and schedules.
- Allocate staff, equipment and materials to achieve service outcomes.
- Lead, mentor and support team members in day-to-day work.
- Provide technical guidance to team members.
- Undertake sports field and grounds maintenance activities.
- Monitor work standards and ensure service levels are achieved.
