Job summary

The City of Ryde invites applications for a Duty Manager at the Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre. You will lead the daily operation, supervise pool staff, manage incidents and ensure safety, compliance and excellent customer service across a busy facility.

You will drive staff development, contribute to rostering, procedures and open/close routines while maintaining water quality and plant room operations to a high standard.

Qualifications

• TAFE NSW Pool Operations / RLSSA cert or equivalent.
• Royal Life Saving Lifeguard cert required.
• Senior First Aid cert required.
• Working With Children Check current.
• Significant aquatic operations or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, day-to-day operation of the RALC.
• Provide on-site leadership and supervision to pool staff.
• Manage incidents and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain a safe environment for patrons and staff.
• Communicate with staff, contractors and centre users.
• Open/close the centre and develop procedures.
• Monitor filtration, reticulation and chemical dosing for water quality.
• Assist in rosters and operational documentation.
