Job summary

CBCity, through the City of Canterbury Bankstown, is seeking a role to provide support and guidance to sporting clubs and associations, ensuring quality sport and recreation opportunities across Canterbury-Bankstown. This position includes education and capacity building for predominantly volunteer-based organisations.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and review of recreation policies, programs, guidelines and facility standards.
• Assist in planning, managing and improving open spaces, sports grounds, recreation facilities and sporting infrastructure.
• Coordinate sports ground and oval allocations, usage and maintenance requirements.
• Deliver sports development, volunteer training and capacity-building programs for local sporting clubs.
• Assist with preparing grant funding submissions, reports and strategic planning documents for recreation projects.
• Conduct research, community consultation and stakeholder engagement to identify recreation needs and improve service delivery.
• Build partnerships with sporting clubs, community groups and schools, manage the Sporting Hall of Fame, and promote recreation facilities, programs and initiatives.
