Job summary

Interaction Disability Services seeks a Speech Pathologist to join our Norwest NSW team. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy across homes, schools and community settings, placing participants’ goals and rights at the centre of care.

Reporting to the Clinical Lead and Practice Manager, you’ll collaborate with families and stakeholders, develop knowledge and experience, and contribute to meaningful outcomes that promote independence and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Speech Pathologist.
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to person-centred practice and positive outcomes.
• Current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes.
• Flexibility to travel across Sydney suburbs.
• National Criminal History Check, NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and communication assessments for NDIS participants.
• Design and implement evidence-based therapy plans that promote positive outcomes.
• Deliver training and guidance to families, carers and staff on therapy plans.
• Ensure interventions comply with organisational policies, NDIS Code of Conduct and SPA standards.
• Develop therapy and support strategies that reflect each participant’s goals and values.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with defensible standards.
• Manage workflow and support a high-performing team culture.
• Engage effectively with participants, families and external stakeholders for person-centred outcomes.

• Engage effectively with participants,familiesand external stakeholders to ensure person-centred outcomes.
