Job summary

Ability ActionAustralia is seeking a Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Newcastle and Hunter region, with opportunities to work close to home depending on location. You will join a growing team delivering life-changing therapy to improve independence and wellbeing.

You will manage a varied caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve meaningful participant outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied, community‑based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings.
  • Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults.
  • Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
  • Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant‑centred goals.
  • Deliver evidence‑based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.
  • Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals.

Job Description

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for aSpeech Pathologistto support participants across theNewcastle and Hunter region.Depending on your location, you’ll have the opportunity towork close to home!

In this role you will:
