Job summary

Ability Action Australia is hiring a Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Newcastle and Hunter region, with opportunities to work close to home.

You will manage a diverse caseload in homes, schools and outreach settings, serving individuals from early intervention to adults, including feeding, language, dysphagia and AAC needs. This role offers flexible hours and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied, community-based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings.
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults.
• Support feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant-centred goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.

Job Description

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for a Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Newcastle and Hunter region. Depending on your location, you’ll have the opportunity to work close to home!

In this role you will:

• Manage a varied, community‑based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults
• Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant‑centred goals
• Deliver evidence‑based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes
• Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals
