Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking a Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Nowra & Wollongong region. Manage a varied, community-based caseload in homes, schools and outreach settings, delivering evidence-based therapy to improve communication, participation and independence.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, with weekly supervision, and access to flexible hours, a competitive package, and generous PD allowances and career development opportunities.

• SPA membership is required and current.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied, community-based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings.
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults.
• Support needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop participant-centred goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to build communication, participation and independence.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.
• Caseload tailored to experience, interests and professional goals.

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we’re looking for a Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Nowra & Wollongong region. Depending on where you’re based - work close to home!

In this role you will:

• Manage a varied, community‑based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults
• Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant‑centred goals
• Deliver evidence‑based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes
