Job summary

Avina is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our team across Brisbane North and the Moreton Bay region. You’ll deliver evidence-informed assessments and interventions to NDIS participants in home, school, community and telehealth settings, shaping a caseload around your experience and interests.

We offer flexible hybrid working with structured supervision, peer collaboration and opportunities to develop clinical interests within a national allied health network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology.
• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership or eligibility.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills.
• Collaborative and person-centred approach.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
• Driver's licence and reliable vehicle for community work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Speech Pathology assessments and deliver evidence-informed intervention.
• Support communication, language, social communication and mealtime goals.
• Develop functional, person-centred therapy plans aligned with participant goals.
• Work flexibly across home, school, community and telehealth settings.
• Collaborate with families, carers, educators and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Manage your caseload and schedule with flexibility and autonomy.
• Participate in supervision, peer learning and professional development.

About the Role

We're looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our team across Brisbane North and the Moreton Bay region.

Depending on where you're based, your caseload could include areas such as Chermside, Aspley, Carseldine, Bridgeman Downs, Albany Creek, Strathpine, Brendale, Warner, Petrie, Kallangur, Mango Hill, North Lakes and surrounding suburbs.

While our broader service area covers Brisbane's northern corridor, you won't be expected to travel across the entire region. Wherever possible, we'll build your caseload around where you live, helping keep travel practical and giving you genuine flexibility over your working week.

You'll work across a mix of home, school, community and telehealth settings, supporting NDIS participants to achieve meaningful communication and participation goals.

Shape Your Speech Pathology Caseload

You’ll have the opportunity to work across the lifespan, with your caseload shaped around your experience, clinical interests and local service needs wherever possible.

Your work may include communication, language, social communication and mealtime supports, alongside assessment and ongoing therapy.
