Job summary

Avina is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our Melbourne Inner South East team in a mobile, community-based role. You will deliver Speech Pathology across home, school and community settings with a caseload shaped around your location to maximise flexibility.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, access to specialist AAC support, and opportunities for shadowing and mentoring. Full-time and part-time options are available, with travel across Victoria suburbs where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology required.
• Current SPA membership preferred or CPSP in progress.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check required, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred Speech Pathology across home, school and community settings.
• Complete assessments, intervention planning and ongoing therapy.
• Support participants across communication and/or mealtime and dysphagia presentations.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, educators and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Manage a community caseload shaped around your location where possible.
• Participate in clinical supervision, shadowing, mentoring and peer learning.

About the Role We're looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our Melbourne Inner South East team, with full-time and part-time options available.

This is a mobile, community-based role, supporting participants in their homes, schools and everyday environments. Your caseload will be built around where you live wherever possible, helping to keep travel practical and giving you greater flexibility and autonomy over your week.

We're particularly interested in Speech Pathologists around Hawthorn,
Richmond, South Yarra, Prahran, Brighton, Bentleigh, Burwood, Templestowe, Wantirna South and surrounding areas.

You’ll also have access to our Brighton East assessment clinic on Wednesdays, providing a clinic option for suitable assessments and appointments.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary team of 12 clinicians across Speech Pathology and OT, ranging from early career through to senior clinicians. Within Speech Pathology, you’ll have access to experienced clinicians with specialist knowledge across AAC, language and education, alongside opportunities for shadowing, mentoring and shared learning.

Your caseload can span the lifespan, with flexibility to consider your experience, interests and location when building your client mix.
