Rio Tinto is seeking a Specialist Contract Management to provide expert support for critical orebody and water contracts. You will collaborate with operations, planning, hydrogeology, and procurement teams to optimise governance, performance and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience managing contracts, procurement activities or contractor governance within mining, resources, infrastructure or another complex industrial environment.

• Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders across technical, operational and commercial functions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on delivering practical business outcomes.
• Ability to operate within a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment while maintaining resilience and delivering outcomes.

• Coach and influence internal stakeholders and contract partners to strengthen contract management capability and contractor performance.

About The Role

We are looking for a Specialist Contract Management to provide specialist support for critical contracts and associated contractor management activities that support the delivery of orebody and water knowledge. You will work across operations, planning, hydrogeology, technical delivery, and procurement teams to optimise contract performance, governance, and commercial outcomes.

Helpful for Success

• A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Procurement, Contracts, Supply Chain, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience supporting operational performance through contractor management and governance frameworks.
• Exposure to tendering, sourcing, procurement planning or contract negotiation activities.
• Experience coaching or mentoring others in contract management practices.
