Job summary

Medrecruit in Broken Hill, NSW is seeking a locum medical practitioner for a short-term assignment from 2 to 8 November 2026 at a 98-bed hospital serving the NSW outback.

Travel and accommodation are provided, and rates are inclusive of superannuation, taxes, and casual loading where applicable. You will join a multi-disciplinary team delivering inpatient and outpatient services across oncology, gynaecology, mental health and general medicine/surgery.

Qualifications

• Must have current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
• Locum position in Broken Hill, NSW; multi-disciplinary team.

Located in a classic outback town with heaps of personality, this 98-bed hospital is a major referal centre for the region. It provides a range of inpatient and outpatient services including caner care, gynaecology, mental health and general medical and surgical services.

The recent $30-million upgrades and redevelopments have been completed, with an upgraded oncology unit and ambulatory wing reconfiguration. A Royal Flying Doctors Base is also located nearby.
