Medrecruit – Broken Hill NSW is seeking a locum medical practitioner for a temporary period in January 2027. The role covers ED inpatient and outpatient services in a classic outback hospital with a multidisciplinary team. Travel and accommodation are included, and you must hold current AHPRA registration and FRACMA fellowship.

Locum shifts run from 11 to 25 January 2027, with weekends or public holidays as required. Rates are inclusive of superannuation and casual loading where applicable.

Qualifications

• FRACMA fellowship required.
• Current AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
• Familiarity with EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing services to the NSW outback.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical coverage during locum period in Broken Hill hospital.

Located in a classic outback town with heaps of personality, this 98-bed hospital is a major referal centre for the region. It provides a range of inpatient and outpatient services including caner care, gynaecology, mental health and general medical and surgical services.

The recent $30-million upgrades and redevelopments have been completed, with an upgraded oncology unit and ambulatory wing reconfiguration. A Royal Flying Doctors Base is also located nearby.
